LUI Pan To Barton – Best Result in History for Hong Kong in 2014 World STSS Championship

LUI Pan To Barton achieved best Men category result in World STSS Championship in Hong Kong History

ISU World Short Track Speed Skating Championships held from March 14 to 16, 2014 in Montreal, Canada. LUI Pan To Barton who representative Hong Kong in Sochi Olympic Winter Games competed in this annual highest level international competition.

There are more than 100 skaters from 32 nations and regions attended this World Championships. Barton competed in all three individual distance, 500m, 1000m and 1500m. Barton raced two rounds in 500m and placed 23rd (41.587), which is his personal best and best result in Men category for Hong Kong in the World Championships. In the 1500m racing which is same distance with Barton’s Sochi Olympic Winter Games competition, Barton finished with 2 minutes 16 seconds and 560, placed 26th in final result, which is almost 6 seconds faster compare with his result in Sochi. Barton placed 35th place in 1000m with 1 minute 28 seconds and 970. Hong Kong S.A.R. flag appears at the spectator’s seats during Barton’s competition.
